Del Carmen slate is a traditional slate with a distinctive texture, noted for its longitudinal grain. The blue/ black colouring is totally natural and will not fade in

the strongest sunlight. The Del Carmen Ultra slate has been tested to international standards, including French StandardP32/302 and BSEN12326. The French standard is widely known as the highest classification worldwide and the testing is carried out at the quarry on a yearly basis by the Laboratoire National d’ Essais.

Del Carmen Ultra is supplied with a written guarantee of 75 years. Test certificates, an independent geological report and samples are available on
request.

As a testament to the consistent high quality of Del Carmen slate, the slate has previously been accepted by English Heritage and Historic Scotland for the refurbishment of listed buildings.
