Del Carmen slate is a traditional slate with a distinctive texture, noted for its longitudinal grain. The blue/ black colouring is totally natural and will not fade in the strongest sunlight.

The Del Carmen Ultra slate has been tested to international standards, including French StandardP32/302 and BSEN12326. The French standard is widely known as the highest classification worldwide and the testing is carried out at the quarry on a yearly basis by the Laboratoire National d’ Essais.

Del Carmen Ultra is supplied with a written guarantee of 75 years. Test certificates, an independent geological report and samples are available on
request.

As a testament to the consistent high quality of Del Carmen slate, the slate has previously been accepted by English Heritage and Historic Scotland for the refurbishment of listed buildings. Del Carmen is also approved by Snowdonia National Park as an alternative to indigenous slate. Comes with a Guarantee up to 75 Years on the Ultra and conforms to BSEN12326-1 A1,T1, S1 .
